Jalsa Salana UK – Private & Hired Tent Department

Tent Booking process:

  1. Initial Inquiry – Guests may contact the Jalsa Salana Office at admin@jalsasalana.org.uk or the Tents Team via email at tent@jalsasalana.org.uk to inquire about tent availability.
  2. Booking Form Submission – Guests must select their preferred tent type and complete the booking form available on the Jalsa Salana website: 🔗 https://jalsasalana.org.uk/private-tent-hire/
  3. Mandatory Verification (Local Jamaat Approval) All booking requests must include confirmation from the guest’s Local Jamaat Sadr if in the UK or via the Jamaat General Secretary’s office if outside of the UK.
  4. Accepted forms of verification:
    • A signed and stamped letter (scanned and attached to the booking form), or
    • An email confirmation from the Local Jamaat Sadr/General Secretary
    • Note: If submitted via email, it must be sent from an official Jamaat email address.
  5. Review & Invoice – Once the booking form is submitted, the Tents Team will review the request. If approved, an invoice will be issued to the email address provided.
  6. Payment & Confirmation – Guests must complete payment via bank transfer to the Jalsa Salana account. Upon receipt of payment, the Tents Team will issue a booking confirmation, including a tent booking reference, which secures the reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

No, electricity is not provided inside the tents due to fire hazards. However, a Utilities Marquee is available in the tent area with separate sections for men and women. This marquee has phone charging ports and an ironing station

No, but there will be tower lights outside in the field.

You can charge your phone in the Utilities Marquee, which has separate sections for men and women.

It is recommended to bring your own bedding. However, you can purchase a bedding set (duvet, pillow, and sheet) from the Tents Office for £15.

Mattresses are available in limited numbers and will be distributed by the Tents Office based on availability. A refundable deposit of £20 per mattress is required.

Note: If the mattress is damaged, the deposit will not be refunded. The final decision rests with the Tents Office.

Yes, separate toilets and showers will be available for men and women.

No, cars are not allowed in the tent area. You must obtain a car pass from the Car Pass Department for parking in the nearest designated area.

Some tracking will be installed at the entrance and near the toilets to facilitate access.

Yes, a designated space will be available for attendees with a valid, in-date disabled badge submitted with their application. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, but we will do our best to accommodate all attendees.

The tent area is at the end of the road from the Men’s and Women’s Jalsa Gah. The Women’s Jalsa Gah entrance is approximately a 5-minute walk, while the Men’s Jalsa Gah entrance is around a 10-minute walk.

Tent allocation is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so specific placements cannot be guaranteed.

No, BBQs or similar activities are strictly prohibited. Violating this rule may result in removal from the tent area.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the general tent area.
