Worldwide Progress of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
Hadeeqatul Mahdi, 27 July 2024: At approximately 4 pm, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, arrived at the main Jalsa Gah to deliver his much-anticipated address on the second day of Jalsa Salana UK 2024. The session commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Surah ar-Ra‘ad (Ch.13: V42-44), followed by their Urdu translation from Tafsir-e-Saghir by Abdul Momin Tahir Sahib. This was succeeded by Musawer Ahmad Sahib presenting couplets from the Urdu poem “Aye Khuda Aye Karsazo” by the Promised Messiahas.
Following the opening recitations, Hazrat Amirul Momineen ascended the podium, extended his salaam, and recited Tashahhud, Ta‘awwuz, and Surah al-Fatihah before delivering a faith-inspiring address. Expansion into New Territories
Huzoor announced the Jamaat’s expansion into Taiwan, marking the 214th country where the Jamaat is now established. Notably, Professor Chong Kuan of Taiwan University, an esteemed scholar in Islamic studies, embraced Ahmadiyyat, adopting the Islamic name Nabil. The first Jalsa Salana in Taiwan saw the participation of thirty individuals, including twelve locals.
Establishment of New Chapters
Globally, 384 new chapters were established, and Ahmadiyyat was introduced in 908 new locations. The construction of 106 new mosques and the acquisition of 48 existing ones were reported, along with the establishment of 117 new mission houses.
Literature and Publications
The Wakalat-e-Tasneef department published new translations of the Holy Quran in Latin American languages and Finnish. The first Hebrew translation was also completed, bringing the total number of Quran translations to 78. Numerous English books were published, including titles such as “Sachai ka Izhar,” “Siraj-e-Munir,” and “Al-Huda.” Additionally, the Tafseer-e-Kabir was expanded to 15 volumes in a new digital edition.
Global Outreach
Wakalat-e-Ishaat reported the publication of 409 different books, pamphlets, and folders, totaling over 4.9 million items in 51 languages. Over 200,000 books were distributed in 40 languages, and free literature distribution reached over 10 million people with more than 7 million items.
Media and Broadcasting
MTA International operates eight channels broadcasting 24/7 globally through 11 satellites, with significant expansion in Africa. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat operates 26 radio stations across Africa, broadcasting over 136,700 hours of programming. The Press and Media Office facilitated the publication of 112 articles, reaching over 30 million people through major platforms like Sky News, ITV, BBC, and The Guardian.
Social Media and Digital Resources
The Jamaat’s message reached over 19 million people through various social media platforms. Enhancements to Alislam.org included updates to the Quran search engine, a new digital library, and the publication of 40 new English books on platforms like Amazon and Google.
Humanitarian Efforts
Humanity First treated over 100,000 people and aided another 100,000 affected by war in nine countries. The International Association of Ahmadi Architects and Engineers (IAAAE) installed 31 new solar wells and 29 hand pumps, benefiting over 70,000 people.
Bai‘ats and Incidents of Faith
Huzoor reported 238,561 new Bai‘ats this year, an increase of 21,393 from the previous year. He narrated several incidents of individuals embracing Ahmadiyyat despite opposition, including a local Christian priest in Congo Brazzaville and a non-Ahmadi scholar in Nigeria profoundly impacted by Ahmadiyya literature.
